Ballito is surrounded by sandy beaches and located just 35 minutes from Durban and only 20 minutes from Umhlanga and King Shaka International airport.

Jakita’s is a unique home, nestled amongst sub-tropical surrounds, in the heart of the old sea side village of Ballito. Jakita’s over looking the “always warm” Indian ocean  where dolphins are frequently spotted surfing the waves.

It is a residential beach home with an edge, a character home that brings a bit more life and fun to the old. All corners of the town are easily accessed by walking, Tuk Tuk, Uber/taxi or bike. We are located only 800m from the beach, 900m from the nearest shops and restaurants, and 1.2kms from the main shopping centres.

Using Jakita’s as a base, you can easily explore world famous heritage sites, visit game farms, and explore the traditional cultures of Zululand. Stay at our character home to experience the authentic and inspiring side of Kwa-Zulu Natal.

There is complimentary WiFi throughout, Braai (barbecue) facilities, and we offer packed lunches for beaching or road-tripping. Umbrellas, cooler boxes and the like, are available  on request. Beach towels are provided.
